Role Overview
Support relay testing, configuration, fault analysis, and protection-system reliability across refinery substations.
The position is based at Ruwais Refinery in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform protection relay testing for ABB, Siemens, GE, and MiCOM systems according to IEEE and OEM requirements.
- Analyze disturbance records, COMTRADE files, and fault data.
- Support electrical incident investigations and root-cause analysis.
- Manage relay backups, spares, and obsolescence.
- Prepare technical reports and recommendations.
- Support protection schemes and coordination.
- Perform fault analysis and short-circuit studies.
- Support power-system protection and reliability across refinery substations.
Requirements
- Have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Have at least 15 years of experience in power system protection and relays.
- Have strong experience with relay software such as PCM600, DIGSI, or EnerVista.
- Have a solid understanding of electrical standards and diagnostic tools.
