Job description
The Electrical Project Engineer manages and executes electrical, MEP, and solar projects from mobilization through completion and handover.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and project quotations.
- Plan and schedule project activities.
- Read and interpret AutoCAD drawings, electrical layouts, and specifications; prepare technical drawings when required.
- Apply knowledge of electrical and solar materials, construction methods, and finishing works.
- Allocate manpower and coordinate site teams; provide technical support to construction teams.
- Conduct and coordinate QA/QC inspections.
- Manage site execution through final handover.
- Monitor budgets, materials, manpower, and timelines.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- At least five years of experience in electrical, MEP, or solar projects in the Middle East or India.
- Strong knowledge of electrical drawings, BOQ preparation, estimation, and project planning.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting AutoCAD drawings; drafting skills are an advantage.
- Experience in site execution, manpower allocation, QA/QC, and project management.
- UAE driving licence is preferred.
Languages required
- English, Hindi, Tamil, and Malayalam are required.
Work requirements
- Full-time, on-site work in Dubai.
- Candidates must be able to commute reliably to Dubai or be willing to relocate before joining.
