The Commercial Manager will be responsible for managing all
commercial, contractual, and financial aspects
of major
infrastructure projects
in Riyadh, including
roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, and associated utilities
, within a
consultant/PMC environment
.
The role requires strong experience in the
Middle East market
, working closely with clients, contractors, and internal project teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead commercial and contract management activities across multiple infrastructure projects.
- Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC Red & Yellow Book conditions.
- Manage variations, claims, EOTs, loss & expense, and change control processes.
- Review and certify interim payment applications, final accounts, and commercial reports.
- Provide commercial advice to Project Directors, Engineers, and Clients.
- Support dispute avoidance, claim negotiations, and contractual correspondence.
- Monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, risk registers, and cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with client governance, contractual procedures, and consultant best practices.
- Interface with legal teams on contractual matters where required.
- Mentor and manage commercial / QS teams on assigned projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
- 15+ years of experience, with significant consultant/PMC experience in the Middle East.
- Proven background on roads, highways, bridges, tunnels, and infrastructure projects.
- Strong working knowledge of FIDIC contracts, claims management, and commercial risk control.
- Experience working on Saudi Arabia / Riyadh-based projects is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
