Projet planning and control Engineer

About This Role

High Control Technical Contracting LLC is a UAE-based contracting company specialized in MEP and construction works.We are currently looking for an experienced Project Planning and Control Engineer to join our team in Dubai.

Project Planning & Schedule Governance:

• Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Review baseline programs and ensure alignment with project requirements.
• Monitor progress and update schedules based on actual site performance.
• Identify critical activities and track key milestones.
• Ensure alignment with contract requirements, procurement plans, and cost control structure.

Recovery Planning & Acceleration Review:

• Assess delays and propose recovery plans including re-sequencing and fast-tracking.
• Evaluate resource requirements such as manpower, materials, and equipment.
• Monitor recovery progress and ensure achievement of planned milestones.
• Coordinate with project teams to implement corrective actions.

Project Risk Management & Mitigation Controls:

• Maintain and update the project risk register.
• Identify, assess, and monitor project risks and mitigation plans.
• Track risk impact on cost and schedule.
• Ensure proper reporting and escalation of critical risks.

Delay Analysis & EOT Validation:

• Perform delay analysis using TIA (Time Impact Analysis).
• Identify root causes of delays (contractor, client, or external).
• Prepare and review Extension of Time (EOT) claims.
• Ensure compliance with contract conditions (FIDIC).

EVM, Progress Reporting & Performance Validation:

• Monitor project progress against baseline schedule.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques (SPI, CPI).
• Analyze cost and schedule performance.
• Provide management reports and recommendations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 8–10 years of experience in planning and project controls (preferably in construction/MEP projects).
• Strong experience in multi-phase projects and coordination.
• Proficient in Primavera P6, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
• Solid knowledge of delay analysis (TIA) and EOT assessment.
• Good understanding of EVM, risk management, and reporting.
• Experience in UAE projects is preferred.

Certifications (Preferred):

• PMP / PMI-SP / PSP (AACE)
