Project Routing Specialist – Logistics / Freight Operations
Contract Type: 12 Months Renewable Contract
We are looking for a Project Routing Specialist to support freight tendering and logistics coordination activities within a project logistics environment.
Role Overview
The Project Routing Specialist will be responsible for managing freight tendering (primarily trucking operations) and coordinating end-to-end cargo movements across suppliers, ports, and project sites.
The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant transportation execution using logistics systems (OTM).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage truckload RFQs when no contract lane exists in OTM
- Tender shipments and secure transport resources through OTM system
- Coordinate and confirm carrier acceptance of shipments
- Arrange cargo pick-up schedules with suppliers or ports
- Ensure port appointments, crane bookings, and loading coordination
- Generate and distribute PUDN (OTM Bill of Lading) to all stakeholders
- Communicate shipment details to site teams and logistics managers
- Track and confirm cargo pick-up and delivery within 24 hours
- Update shipment milestones and events in OTM system
- Prepare shipping documentation (Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificates of Origin, etc.)
- Coordinate export filing (AES) for USA shipments (if applicable)
- Support customs coordination (US / CA / MX) including bonded transport
- Assist with HS code classification with customs teams
- Create LSPO in OTM for secondary shipment charges
Requirements
- Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or project cargo operations
- Strong understanding of transportation coordination and shipment tracking
- Exposure to Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) is highly preferred
- Knowledge of customs processes and shipping documentation
- Strong coordination and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple shipments and stakeholders
