Role overview
Position: Project Production Engineer (Machine Manufacturing).
The role coordinates project-based machine production and progress through completion and dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate machine production and assembly according to drawings, BOMs, specifications, and schedules.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Electrical, and Service teams.
- Track components, materials, fabrication, machining, assembly, testing, and dispatch.
- Monitor project-wise production progress and ensure timely completion.
- Follow up on shortages, outsourced work, technical issues, and production delays.
- Communicate current drawings and engineering revisions to production.
- Coordinate inspections, machine trials, FAT, punch-point closure, and dispatch.
- Prepare daily and weekly production and project status reports.
- Maintain project documents, BOMs, drawings, inspection records, and dispatch details.
- Escalate delays and critical issues to the Project or Production Manager.
Qualifications and experience
- Diploma, B.E., or B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering.
- 2–6 years of experience in machine manufacturing or project coordination.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
Compensation and benefits
- Pay is ₹25,000–₹50,000 per month.
- Benefits include food provided and paid time off.
