Project Manager (Technical - Saudi)

Role overview

Project delivery and governance

• Lead end-to-end banking and fintech projects covering payment systems, AML, Open Banking and regulatory integrations.
• Define scope, timelines, milestones and deliverables; ensure projects stay on time, within scope and within budget.
• Establish governance and reporting structures; manage client relationships, stakeholder communications, steering committees, status meetings and executive reporting.
• Coordinate architecture, development, QA, DevOps and integration teams; review technical designs and bank-system integrations.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and coordinate certification, testing, approvals and regulatory-driven changes.
• Track risks, issues, escalations and dependencies; maintain RAID logs.
• Create project, sprint and release plans; track work, allocate resources, and oversee SIT, UAT and production deployment.
• Ensure SDLC, QA and security standards; validate deliverables against functional and non-functional requirements.
• Manage testing sign-offs, scope changes and change control; assess impacts and support commercial discussions for out-of-scope requests.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of project management experience in banking, fintech or financial services.
• Proven experience delivering integration-heavy projects involving payments, AML, Open Banking or regulatory systems.
• Strong understanding of REST/SOAP APIs, microservices, integration platforms and middleware, payment systems and core banking integrations.
• Familiarity with cloud and on-prem deployments, DevOps, CI/CD and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and Waterfall/Hybrid methodologies; experience with Jira, Confluence and MS Project or similar.
• Fluency in English and Arabic; strong stakeholder communication, leadership, coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in parallel with attention to detail and ownership.
• Bank or regulator experience is highly preferred; PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile certifications are a plus.

Preferred regulatory and domain knowledge

• Preferred knowledge includes AML/KYC systems, Open Banking, SAMA Tanfeeth-Watheeq, and government integration platforms such as SIMAH, ELM and Wathq.
• Experience managing on-prem enterprise deployments for banks is listed as preferred domain knowledge.

Workplace

• The role is based in Riyadh and includes on-site coordination during SIT and UAT phases.
