Project leadership and delivery
- Lead the project team, define responsibilities and expectations, and coordinate mobilization, execution planning, and construction across disciplines.
- Resolve site issues and coordinate workforce and employee matters with HR.
- Manage schedules, monitor progress, productivity, and resources, resolve constraints, and implement approved recovery actions.
Commercial and procurement control
- Control costs and overheads against budgets; monitor commitments and forecasts and coordinate payment applications, cash flow, collections, and variances.
- Coordinate procurement and subcontracting; monitor deliveries and subcontractor performance and verify progress and payment recommendations within approved authority.
- Control scope changes, contractual notices, variations, delay analysis, and extension-of-time submissions; obtain approvals before commitments or settlements.
Safety, quality, and closeout
- Lead HSE performance, ensure risk controls and emergency readiness, stop unsafe work, and oversee incident response and corrective actions.
- Ensure construction meets approved drawings, specifications, quality plans, and applicable requirements; coordinate submissions, inspections, testing, and approvals.
- Resolve defects and nonconformities and manage testing, commissioning, handover, and defect rectification.
- Ensure delivery of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and completion records; coordinate demobilization, asset returns, and financial closeout.
Stakeholder coordination
- Lead client and consultant meetings, maintain risk records, resolve concerns, and report progress, costs, safety, and quality to the Projects Director.
- Escalate significant risks and decisions.
Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- At least 15 years of related experience.
