Role overview
GLS Landscaping & Contracting is hiring an experienced Project Manager to lead infrastructure, external works, and landscaping construction projects across multiple sites.
Education and experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management is specified.
- Requires 10+ years in construction, including at least 5 years as a Project Manager on infrastructure, external works, and landscaping projects.
- Requires full project-lifecycle experience from planning to handover and a record of on-time, within-budget landscape and infrastructure delivery.
- Requires deep knowledge of external works, utilities, roads, hardscape, softscape, and irrigation systems.
Project delivery scope
- Lead and deliver construction projects across multiple sites.
- Manage project planning, scheduling, resources, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Administer contracts and coordinate with consultants and clients.
- Control budgets, variations, and change management.
- Manage authority approvals and inspections; UAE experience is preferred.
- Review drawings, specifications, and method statements and manage project risks and mitigation.
- Coordinate with QS, procurement, engineering, and HSE teams.
Professional qualifications
- PMP is listed under certifications.
- RICS is an added advantage; HSE or Quality Management certifications are preferred.
Leadership and communication
- The posting seeks leadership and team-management abilities, communication and stakeholder-management skills, and decision-making and problem-solving capability.
- Commercial and contractual awareness, cross-functional and multicultural team leadership, negotiation, and conflict resolution are specified.
- The role requires managing multiple sites and tight deadlines and delivering results under pressure.
- Fluency in spoken and written English is required; Arabic is an additional advantage.
