Role Overview
Intelligent Green Solutions is seeking a technically skilled and highly organized Project Manager / Construction Supervisor to lead and grow our field operations across residential and small commercial solar projects.
This hybrid role (50% field, 50% office) is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, understands solar, electrical, or mechanical trades, and can lead up to 10 installation crews—both subcontracted and internal teams.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing permitting, advanced estimating, scheduling, and execution of solar PV systems (roof- and ground-mounted), battery storage, and related technologies.
This is a high-impact leadership position reporting directly to the VP of Operations, with a clear path to senior advancement as the company continues to scale.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage up to 10 active field crews across residential and small commercial jobs
- Coordinate project permitting, material procurement, and advanced job costing
- Supervise on-site installations (solar PV, battery, mechanical/electrical systems)
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with high-quality standards
- Conduct field inspections for safety, performance, and quality control
- Optimize internal processes and workflows to support company scaling goals
- Maintain excellent communication with stakeholders, customers, and leadership
- Report progress and challenges directly to the VP of Operations
What We’re Looking For
5+ years of experience in construction project management or field supervision
Background in solar, electrical, HVAC, or other mechanical trades
NABCEP PV Installation Professional certification preferred
OSHA 30 or equivalent safety certification helpful
Strong technical knowledge of solar installations (roof, ground, battery systems)
Demonstrated success managing both subcontractors and in-house crews
Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
Proficient in digital tools: Tread, Procore, Odoo, Salesforce, Google Workspace
Highly organized, computer-savvy, and responsive via email and mobile
Valid driver’s license – company vehicle provided for regional travel (within 120 miles of Bainbridge, NY)
