Education

  • al Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized university.

Registrations / Certifications

  • UAE Society of Engineers registration.
  • Local Authority Approval (ADCD / Dubai Civil Defence - Preferred).
  • Knowledge of NFPA, IPC, AHSRAE and other relevant international standards.

Experience

  • 10 to 12 years of experience in mechanical design and execution for large-scale construction projects including commercial, residential, industrial, and hospitality developments.
  • Minimum 8-10 years of GCC experience, preferably in the UAE.
  • Proven expertise in handling all types of HVAC systems for large scale projects as per international and local authority standards (DCD / DM / ASHRAE).

Computer Software Proficiency

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD for design coordination and review.
  • Familiar with project planning tools such as MS Project or Primavera (P6) (Preferred).

& Responsibilities

  • Review plumbing, drainage, LPG, and firefighting design drawings, calculations, specifications, and BOQs to ensure compliance with project requirements and authority regulations.
  • Lead design coordination, hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, and preparation/review of shop drawings and builders' work drawings in coordination with the drafting team.
  • Supervise installation, testing, flushing, disinfection, and commissioning of plumbing, drainage, LPG, and firefighting systems, including pumps, tanks, water heaters, piping networks, and associated equipment.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, authorities, and other disciplines to resolve technical and execution-related issues.
  • Prepare and review material submittals, method statements, ITPs, and technical documentation.
  • Lead site teams to ensure quality, safety, productivity, and compliance with project schedules.
  • Monitor progress, manpower, and material requirements to achieve project milestones.
  • Verify installations for compliance with QCS, NFPA, IPC, UPC, local authority requirements, and project specifications.
  • Participate in technical and coordination meetings and provide support for design changes, variation orders, and value engineering proposals.
  • Lead preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, testing and commissioning records, and final handover documents.
  • Ensure all plumbing, drainage, LPG, and firefighting works are executed in accordance with approved HSE requirements and company procedures.
  • Experience in district cooling condenser water, potable water, sewerage, stormwater, treated sewage effluent (TSE), and utility infrastructure works will be considered an added advantage.
