Project Engineer

Role overview

Project execution and site management

• Plan and execute fit-out projects, develop schedules and work plans, monitor progress, and take corrective action on delays.
• Coordinate internal project teams and supervise site staff, tradespeople, subcontractors, and site resources.
• Inspect work and ensure execution follows approved drawings, specifications, method statements, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Technical coordination and delivery

• Interpret architectural, structural, MEP, and shop drawings; coordinate revisions and resolve technical discrepancies.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, procurement, design, and MEP teams; attend meetings and report progress.
• Coordinate material approvals, inspections, technical submissions, and timely material delivery.

Quality, safety, and reporting

• Monitor joinery, gypsum, painting, flooring, ceiling, and other interior finishes; inspect quality and ensure defect rectification.
• Follow site safety requirements and maintain inspection reports, site records, and progress documentation.
• Track schedules, costs, material consumption, and resource allocation; coordinate snagging, de-snagging, testing, commissioning, and final handover.

Required qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• At least 5–6 years of interior fit-out experience is mandatory; candidates without relevant experience will not be considered.
• Strong fit-out execution, construction-method, site-coordination, drawing-interpretation, and site-team-management capabilities.
• Knowledge of UAE construction practices, site procedures, and safety standards; ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management software; good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred profile

• UAE interior design and turnkey fit-out experience is highly preferred; commercial, residential, retail, or hospitality project experience is also preferred.
• Dubai-based candidates and candidates available immediately or on short notice are preferred.
