Role Description
This is a part-time remote role for a Project Engineer at Unisinos.
The Project Engineer will support the planning, coordination, and execution of academic, research, and infrastructure-related projects aligned with the university’s strategic objectives.
Daily tasks may include developing project scopes, schedules, and budgets; preparing technical documentation; and collaborating with faculty, staff, and external partners.
The role also involves monitoring project progress, managing risks, and proposing corrective actions to ensure timely delivery and compliance with technical and institutional standards.
The Project Engineer will participate in virtual meetings, prepare status reports, and contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and engineering solutions.
Qualifications
- Strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills, with the ability to interpret technical specifications and apply engineering principles in practical solutions.
- Proficiency in Project Management and Project Planning, including scheduling, resource allocation, risk management, and progress tracking.
- Effective Communication skills, including the ability to interact clearly with multidisciplinary teams, document technical information, and present project updates to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Engineering, or a related engineering field; advanced studies or certifications in project management (e.g., PMI-related) are a plus.
- Experience with remote collaboration tools and digital project management platforms; ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
- Knowledge of academic or research project environments is an asset, as well as familiarity with sustainability, innovation, or infrastructure development initiatives.
