Project Engineer

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site construction activities against approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Supervise main contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers for quality, progress, and compliance.
• Review architectural, structural, MEP, and other drawings and identify discrepancies or site issues.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, suppliers, and relevant stakeholders.
• Follow up on Dubai authority approvals, inspections, permits, and statutory requirements.
• Monitor progress, report work status, and coordinate resolution of delays and technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship, materials, and construction quality.
• Coordinate material deliveries, site requirements, and work schedules.
• Review contractor quotations, variations, material submissions, and technical documentation.
• Maintain records of site activities, approvals, inspections, progress, and correspondence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a Master’s degree.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience with a real estate developer as a Project Engineer in the UAE.
• Previous experience in residential building construction as a Project Engineer or coordinator.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai construction practices and authority approval procedures.
• Understanding of construction drawings, specifications, site execution, and quality control.
• Experience coordinating and supervising main contractors and subcontractors.
• Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, reporting, and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; project management or construction software knowledge is advantageous.

Compensation

• Pay is AED 5,000–AED 10,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work is in person in Dubai.
