WSP is seeking an experienced Project Director to lead the delivery of a major construction supervision project in a remote location.

This is a senior leadership role within our Property & Buildings business, responsible for overseeing site-based project execution and ensuring delivery in line with client objectives, programme, budget, and quality standards.

The Project Director will act as the Client s trusted advisor on site, providing strategic oversight and leadership throughout the construction and handover phases.

The role requires extensive experience managing large-scale, complex projects in remote or challenging environments, with strong leadership and stakeholder management capabilities.

Provide overall leadership and direction for site-based project delivery, ensuring alignment with Client objectives, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

Act as the primary point of accountability for project execution, performance, and delivery outcomes on site.

Lead the construction supervision phase, ensuring effective coordination between contractors, consultants, and stakeholders.

Oversee all site operations, ensuring works are executed in accordance with approved designs, specifications, and standards.

Manage and resolve interface issues across disciplines, ensuring fully coordinated delivery.

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation and recovery plans where required.

Maintain oversight of project costs, variations, and change control processes.

Ensure adherence to project programme, including schedule monitoring and reporting.

Act as the senior client interface on site, providing clear, timely, and accurate reporting.

Engage with local authorities, stakeholders, and third parties as required to support project delivery.

Lead commercial discussions, negotiations, and issue resolution at senior level.

Ensure full compliance with local regulations, codes, and authority requirements.

Champion health, safety, quality, and environmental standards across all site activities.

Lead, mentor, and manage the project team on site, fostering a high-performance and collaborative culture.

Oversee resource planning, team performance, and succession planning throughout the project lifecycle.
