Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Director for a full-time position.
The Project Director will provide strategic leadership and overall management of large-scale landscaping and irrigation construction projects, ensuring successful delivery from planning through completion.
The successful candidate will oversee project planning, resource allocation, contract administration, construction execution, quality assurance, budget control, and stakeholder coordination.
The role requires strong leadership capabilities, technical expertise in landscape and irrigation systems, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and oversee all phases of landscape and irrigation construction projects.
- Develop and implement project execution plans, schedules, and resource strategies.
- Manage project budgets, cost controls, and financial performance.
- Lead multidisciplinary teams including project managers, engineers, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety regulations, and contractual obligations.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and government authorities.
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions where necessary.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement in project delivery methods.
- Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) in Landscape Architecture from an accredited university.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in large-scale landscape and irrigation construction and installation projects.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience serving as Overall Project Manager or in an equivalent leadership role on major landscape and irrigation projects.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects in arid or hot climates similar to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale landscape and irrigation infrastructure projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent.
- Experience working within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region.
Required Skills
- Advanced project management expertise, including planning, scheduling, execution, risk assessment, and budget management.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong knowledge of landscape construction methodologies, irrigation systems, and site operations.
- Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project environment.
