Deliver against schedule, budget, quality, safety, operational, specification, regulatory, and project requirements.
Main duties
- Lead construction delivery across program packages, work fronts, and contractor interfaces; drive safe, efficient, timely site execution.
- Coordinate teams, subcontractors, package managers, and support functions; integrate engineering, procurement, construction, commercial, planning, contracts, and project controls.
- Monitor progress and productivity, develop recovery plans, and manage risks, constructability, sequencing, logistics, and interfaces.
- Lead delivery reviews, progress meetings, reporting, and timely decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, contracts, quality standards, and HSE regulations; promote safety, quality, productivity, accountability, and delivery excellence.
- Support bid and post-award construction methodologies, phasing, mobilization, and execution plans.
- Act as key contact for internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and the client on delivery performance.
- Support testing, commissioning readiness, and handover planning where required.
Profile and qualifications
- Hands-on, delivery-focused leader able to manage complex railway construction, site performance, contractors, interfaces, and package delivery.
- Conventional railway and freight rail project experience is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline; master’s degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 20 years of total experience in major infrastructure and construction projects.
- Proven delivery of major infrastructure, rail, or transportation projects from execution through completion; strong construction management, site delivery, contractor coordination, and field execution background.
- Prior Program Delivery Manager, Construction Delivery Manager, Senior Project Manager, or similar senior delivery role on major conventional and/or freight railway projects.
- Gulf experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, temporary works, constructability, project controls, commercial delivery impacts, and complex multidisciplinary interfaces.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of HSE, quality, risk, compliance, and construction best practices for conventional and freight railway systems.
