About This Role

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and commercially driven Project Cost Controller to manage and oversee the full financial lifecycle of event and wedding projects. The role is responsible for accurate project costing, budget control, and profitability analysis across all events.

The ideal candidate must have strong experience in event production costing , including fabrication, logistics, manpower, and outsourced services, and be capable of working closely with sales, operations, and procurement teams.

Key Responsibilities Project Costing & Budgeting

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for events and weddings (pre-sale and post-sale)
• Analyze requirements including production, décor, staging, AV, logistics, and manpower
• Develop accurate project budgets aligned with company margin targets

Cost Control & Monitoring

• Track actual expenses against approved budgets throughout the project lifecycle
• Identify cost deviations and flag risks early
• Ensure all project costs are recorded, validated, and controlled

Supplier & Procurement Cost Management

• Work closely with procurement to validate supplier quotations
• Compare vendor pricing and recommend cost-effective solutions
• Maintain a database of standard costs for materials, rentals, and services

Financial Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare project profitability reports (estimated vs. actual cost)
• Provide margin analysis per event
• Support management with insights to improve pricing strategies

Cross-Department Coordination

• Collaborate with sales, production, and operations teams to ensure cost accuracy
• Participate in project handover meetings to align budgets with execution plans

Process Improvement

• Develop and implement cost control systems and templates
• Identify inefficiencies and recommend cost-saving initiatives

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cost control (preferably in events, production, construction, or similar industries)
• Strong understanding of event production elements (fabrication, staging, lighting, logistics, manpower)
• Advanced skills in Excel (cost sheets, budgeting models, analysis)
• Experience in UAE market and supplier network is a strong advantage
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
