- We're looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Project Controls Manager to lead the design consultant scope on our strategic projects in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- In this role, you will serve as a key leader responsible for establishing and maintaining comprehensive project controls, managing budgets and schedules, and ensuring alignment between design consultants and project objectives.
- You will drive performance excellence through analytical rigor, decisive decision-making, and collaborative stakeholder engagement.
- Lead and oversee all aspects of design consultant scope management, including contract administration, deliverable tracking, and performance monitoring
- Develop, implement, and maintain project controls frameworks, including earned value management systems and key performance indicators
- Manage project budgets and cost controls, analyzing variances and implementing corrective actions to ensure financial performance
- Create and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying critical paths and managing timeline risks
- Conduct comprehensive risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies for design-related project activities
- Prepare and present regular performance reports to senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and trends
- Coordinate with design teams, engineering departments, and external consultants to ensure scope alignment and quality standards
- Monitor and control project changes, ensuring proper documentation and impact assessment
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices in project controls
- Mentor and support project team members in controls methodologies and tools
Required Skills & Experience
- 15 years of professional experience in project controls, project management, or related field
- 5+ years of direct experience managing design consultant scopes on complex projects
- Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or equivalent
- Expert-level skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
- Strong knowledge of earned value management (EVM) principles and applications
- Demonstrated expertise in budget forecasting, cost analysis, and financial controls
- Proven ability to develop and manage project schedules with multiple dependencies
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across all organizational levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail
- Experience with contract management and consultant performance evaluation
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working on projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East region
- Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, or similar enterprise resource planning systems
- Knowledge of design consulting industry standards and practices
- Experience with agile or hybrid project management methodologies
- Background in change management and organizational process improvement
- Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
