The Project Engineer / Senior Engineer supports planning, coordination, execution, and completion of engineering projects.
The role works with engineering, operations, procurement, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to meet technical, quality, cost, schedule, and safety requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review project requirements, prepare technical documentation, coordinate engineering activities, and monitor schedules.
- Support implementation of engineering solutions; review drawings, specifications, reports, and project documentation.
- Coordinate resources and materials, track progress, identify technical issues, and support timely resolution.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders and monitor project deliverables.
- Support testing and commissioning and ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and procedures.
- Senior-level duties may include technical guidance, reviewing engineering work, project planning and risk management, and process improvements.
Qualifications and capabilities
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical field.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, project planning, technical documentation, and project execution.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, and project documentation.
- Familiarity with scheduling, resource planning, procurement coordination, cost monitoring, and risk management.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies, quality standards, safety requirements, and engineering practices.
- Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, Primavera, or similar tools are advantageous.
- Analytical, technical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-coordination skills are requested.
- Senior responsibilities require technical coordination, leadership, decision-making, and mentoring capabilities.
- Ability to identify risks, evaluate technical solutions, and support corrective actions, with a proactive focus on quality, safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
