Projec Engineer / Senior Engineer

Role description

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with artistic and technical teams to assess requirements and design solutions.
• Oversee implementation for staging, lighting, sound, and infrastructure.
• Prepare technical documentation, review plans and drawings, and track project timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards and troubleshoot technical issues during festival operations.
• Communicate with internal and external stakeholders and recommend improvements for future festival editions.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated project engineering or related technical experience, with ability to manage multiple projects within timelines and budgets.
• Strong technical analysis, planning, and problem-solving skills, including interpreting drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, partners, and suppliers in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering and project management tools or software; comfort with digital documentation and reporting systems.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment, and quality standards relevant to events, live performances, or construction and installation projects.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to changing festival needs and schedules.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Event, theatre, or festival experience is an asset.
• Fluency in written and spoken English; additional languages, including French, are beneficial.
