Role overview
Supports engineering projects from planning and design through implementation, testing, and completion.
Coordinates technical activities and monitors progress to support quality, safety, budget, performance, and engineering-standard objectives.
Responsibilities
- Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, project documentation, and design requirements for accuracy and feasibility.
- Coordinate schedules, milestones, technical resources, and communication with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
- Identify engineering challenges, evaluate solutions, and resolve issues in line with approved procedures and applicable standards.
- Assist with cost monitoring, risk assessment, quality inspections, technical reporting, and project documentation.
- Participate in design reviews; coordinate site or operational activities where required; monitor equipment and material needs.
- Support testing, commissioning, and handover, and contribute to process optimization and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Project Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical specifications, project planning, and implementation.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical documents, design plans, and project requirements.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies, scheduling tools, and project tracking systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, or other discipline-specific engineering tools, where applicable.
- Understanding of quality assurance, risk assessment, workplace safety, and relevant engineering standards.
- Able to monitor milestones, analyze technical information, and prepare progress reports.
- Strong analytical, organizational, troubleshooting, communication, and coordination abilities; attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
- Proactive, results-oriented approach and interest in engineering innovation, project delivery, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement.
