Role overview

Responsibilities

• Support planning, scheduling, and delivery of therapeutic programs and activities.
• Assist patients to participate in group-based therapeutic programs and activities.
• Develop and maintain program timetables, promotional materials, and databases.
• Record attendance, coordinate assessments, and assist with program evaluation activities.
• Liaise with clinical teams about program availability and patient participation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to continuity of care.
• Participate in training, supervision, and ongoing professional development.
• Provide safe, person-centred support aligned with recovery-oriented and trauma-informed practice.

About you

• Demonstrate commitment to recovery-oriented mental health practice.
• Have completed or partially completed a relevant qualification in mental health, disability support, allied health assistance, welfare, or a related field, or be willing to undertake further study.
• Have administrative experience, including scheduling, document preparation, and database management.
• Bring strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport, and confidence working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.

Pay and classification

• Mental Health Officer Grade 2 classification; pay range is $67,724 to $73,595 plus superannuation and salary packaging.

Work location

• The position is located at Thomas Embling Hospital in Fairfield.
