Role Overview
We are looking for a highly experienced Program Manager with deep expertise in the Payments domain, specifically in Issuing and Acquiring systems.
The ideal candidate should have managed large-scale payment transformation programs, stakeholder coordination across business and technology teams, and end-to-end delivery of payment modernization initiatives.
This role is based out of Dubai and requires strong client-facing capabilities, leadership skills, and hands-on experience in managing cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.
Candidates currently based in the Middle East will be strongly preferred.
Candidates based in India may also be considered, provided they are open to frequent travel or relocation to Dubai.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage large-scale payment transformation and delivery programs for banking and financial services clients.
- Drive end-to-end program execution across Issuing and Acquiring platforms.
- Manage stakeholder communication with client leadership, business teams, vendors, and internal delivery teams.
- Define program governance structures, delivery milestones, RAID management, and reporting mechanisms.
- Coordinate across product, engineering, QA, infrastructure, compliance, and operations teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope, budget, and quality expectations.
- Support solution discussions and strategic planning for payment modernization initiatives.
- Manage dependencies across multiple workstreams and vendors.
- Monitor program risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.
- Ensure adherence to banking, compliance, security, and regulatory standards relevant to payments.
- Drive executive-level status reporting and steering committee reviews.
- Mentor project managers and delivery teams where applicable.
Required Skills & Experience
- 15+ years of overall experience with significant exposure to the Payments domain.
- Strong experience in:
- Card Issuing
- Merchant Acquiring
- Payment Switches
- Transaction Processing
• Digital Payments Ecosystem
- Proven experience managing large banking or fintech programs.
- Strong understanding of payment transaction lifecycles and reconciliation processes.
- Exposure to payment platforms and processors is highly desirable.
- Strong project/program management expertise using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
- Prior experience working with Middle East banking clients is highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or equivalent management qualification is an advantage.
- Experience in digital banking or fintech transformation programs will be an added advantage.
