Role overview

Quorum Software is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead large, complex and critical projects and teams.

The role supports enterprise client engagements and software delivery in the energy industry.

Location and work model

  • The role is hybrid.
  • Listed locations are Aberdeen, Scotland; Stavanger or Trondheim, Norway; and Groningen, Netherlands.

Project delivery and management

  • Oversee multiple large, complex enterprise projects for key clients and manage their full lifecycle from planning and scoping through delivery and closure.
  • Manage cost estimates, budgets, schedules, resources, technical solution design, implementation measures, quality control, user training and closure activities.
  • Supervise project managers and coordinate integrated delivery across multiple Agile teams and departments.
  • Manage risks, issues, deviations, scope challenges, time and costs, and balance traditional project practices with Agile delivery.
  • Manage customer expectations, deliverables, stakeholder communications and project governance; maintain accountability for customer satisfaction.

Business and leadership

  • Keep current knowledge of relevant energy sectors, including upstream, midstream, technology and ESG, and align program objectives with account strategies.
  • Lead distributed teams, including during challenging situations; recruit and onboard talent and sustain team motivation and performance.
  • Coach teams, remove roadblocks, use resources effectively and hold teams accountable for commitments.
  • Communicate gaps and risks to senior stakeholders and maintain processes that support effective program delivery.
  • Engage external or industry contractors as needed.

Experience and capabilities

  • Proven leadership of large, complex, critical multi-geographical or functional teams and enterprise-level client projects.
  • Relevant background in software and program management or another related function, with comprehensive product and client-engagement knowledge.
  • Experience budgeting complex project deliveries and managing time and cost accurately.
  • Strong project/program delivery, leadership, communication, mentorship and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Current knowledge of relevant energy industry sectors.

Certifications

  • PMP or Scrum certifications are described as typical, not mandatory.
