Program Manager (Director Level) (Hybrid Work Schedule)

Role overview

Project delivery and management

• Oversee delivery of multiple large, complex, enterprise-level projects for key clients.
• Manage the full lifecycle, including planning, scoping, estimates, scheduling, resources, technical solution design, implementation metrics, quality checks, training, and closure.
• Supervise project managers and senior project managers across projects involving multiple Agile teams and departments.
• Manage delivery budgets, schedules, costs, risks, issues, deviations, and constraints.
• Blend traditional project-management practices with Agile methods for mission-critical enterprise projects.
• Manage customer expectations, stakeholder communications, governance, delivery goals, and customer satisfaction.
• Identify product and scope challenges, risks, and roadblocks; develop and execute responses.
• Align project objectives with account strategies and engage external contractors as needed.

Experience and knowledge

• Proven history leading large, complex, critical multi-geographical or functional teams.
• Experience delivering large, complex enterprise projects and managing the full project lifecycle.
• Strong project/program delivery knowledge, including traditional and Agile approaches.
• Current knowledge of relevant energy sectors, including upstream, midstream, technology, or ESG.
• Software/product or program-management background or experience in a relevant function.
• PMP or Scrum certifications are typical for the role.

Leadership and communication

• Lead large teams, including during crises, and maintain motivation and productivity.
• Identify, recruit, and onboard talent; coach teams, remove roadblocks, and hold them accountable for commitments.
• Communicate effectively with diverse audiences and explain gaps and risks to senior stakeholders.
• Introduce and maintain clear, efficient delivery processes.
