Role overview

Program Analyst I supports a federal government client in Arlington, Virginia.

The role conducts program and financial analyses and supports resource management and program operations.

Responsibilities

Analyze data used to formulate budget requests and annual district allocations for air and ground prisoner transportation.
Advise on financial system transactions for transportation and guard services sections.
Submit air-operation flight-hour payment requests through the Justice Prisoner Air Transportation System.
Update the Office of Transportation Services financial SOP annually.
Track and maintain air charter mission records.
Evaluate budget requests and allocations, identify fiscal and operational issues, and provide recommendations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of relevant budget analysis, financial management, and expenditure-monitoring experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial management or travel systems.
Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, deadline management, and accurate recordkeeping.
Previous government agency support experience is preferred.
Must pass a Public Trust background investigation and be able to work onsite in Arlington, Virginia.
