Production Planning and Estimation Engineer Specialized in Metal Work Fabrication

Role overview

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in the same field.
• Degree in Engineering.
• Proficiency in Excel systems.

Estimation and proposals

• Review customer drawings, specifications, and tender documents; prepare quantity take-offs and detailed bills of quantities.
• Estimate raw material costs, including stainless steel, aluminum, mild steel, and galvanized iron, plus labor and fabrication-related costs.
• Estimate machining, welding, finishing, painting, galvanizing, transportation, and installation costs; add profit margin and risk factors.
• Attend technical meetings if required, raise requests for information when drawings are unclear, and obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare commercial and technical proposals and analyze project requirements and potential risks.
• Prepare hand sketch drawings.

Production planning and coordination

• Develop production schedules based on project priorities and delivery dates.
• Plan cutting, bending, machining, welding, assembly, surface treatment, and dispatch activities.
• Coordinate with production supervisors, monitor shop-floor progress, update schedules, and address bottlenecks.
• Optimize manpower, machinery, and workshop resources; coordinate timely procurement of raw materials and consumables.
• Monitor material availability and inventory levels and recommend replenishment when required.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports; assist management with recovery plans when schedules are affected.
• Coordinate with Sales, Design, Procurement, Production, Quality Control, and Site teams.

Compensation

• Full-time role paying from AED 4,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work is in person at the company's factory in Ajman.
