Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Production Planner to join our dynamic team in the Paper Packaging Manufacturing industry.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in coordinating and optimizing production schedules, ensuring materials availability, and meeting quality standards.
The Production Planner will be responsible for effective communication with various departments, forecasting, and providing detailed reports to support management decision-making.
Responsibilities
**Production Scheduling:**Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and inventory targets.
Collaborate with the Factory Manager to ensure production resources are effectively utilized.
**Material Analysis and Reordering:**Analyze raw material consumption trends and maintain accurate inventory levels.
Initiate purchase orders for materials, ensuring timely reorder to prevent production delays.
**Quality Assurance:**Communicate regularly with the Quality Control team to understand and uphold quality standards.
Collaborate with the QC team to address any quality concerns during the production process.
**Deadline Management:**Work closely with the Factory Manager to understand production timelines and deadlines.
Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed to meet delivery timelines.
**Forecasting:**Utilize historical data and market trends to forecast production requirements.
Provide accurate forecasts to support effective resource planning and inventory management.
**Reporting:**Generate and analyze production reports for management, highlighting key performance indicators.
Communicate production variances and propose corrective actions to optimize efficiency.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience preferrable in a similar role within the Paper Packaging Manufacturing industry.
Bachelor's degree in Business in Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Proficient in using ERP systems and other production planning tools.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of production processes and an understanding of quality control standards.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
