Production Operations Manager
About This Role
The Production Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing daily production activities to ensure efficient, high-quality, and timely output. This role involves managing production teams, optimizing workflows, and implementing operational strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs. The manager ensures compliance with safety and quality standards, monitors performance metrics, and coordinates with other departments to maintain smooth operations. They also analyze data, identify process improvements, and support continuous operational development while leading and motivating staff to meet production goals.
What You’ll Do:
- Oversee daily production and operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and timely delivery.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and reduce costs.
- Manage and supervise production teams, including scheduling, training, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards across all operations.
- Monitor production output and resolve any issues or bottlenecks in the process.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., procurement, logistics, and quality control) to ensure smooth workflow.
- Analyze operational data and prepare reports on performance, KPIs, and improvements.
- Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure proper use of materials and resources.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in production, manufacturing, or operations management (2–5+ years preferred).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office and production/operations systems.
- Willing to work on-site and handle shifting schedules if required.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with lean manufacturing or process improvement methodologies.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Background in a specific industry (e.g., food production, manufacturing, construction).
