Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Production Manager – Joinery & Interior Fit-Out to oversee complete factory operations and ensure smooth production workflow, quality compliance, and timely project delivery.
The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in joinery manufacturing, production planning, manpower management, and factory operations within the interior fit-out industry.
Production & Operations Management
- Plan, organize, and supervise all joinery and interior fit-out factory operations.
- Ensure production schedules align with project timelines and site requirements.
- Monitor daily production activities including carpentry, veneer works, polishing, painting, CNC operations, assembly, and packing.
- Optimize production efficiency and reduce material wastage.
- Coordinate with project teams for delivery priorities and installation schedules.
Manpower Management
- Lead supervisors, foremen, carpenters, machine operators, painters, polishers, and factory workers.
- Allocate manpower effectively based on workload and priorities.
- Conduct performance evaluations and workforce training.
- Maintain discipline and adherence to company policies.
Quality Control
- Ensure all manufactured products meet approved shop drawings and quality standards.
- Monitor quality checks at every production stage.
- Maintain high finishing standards for veneer, laminate, paint, polish, and upholstery works.
Material & Inventory Control
- Coordinate with procurement and stores for timely material availability.
- Monitor inventory of MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, hardware, paints, and consumables.
- Minimize material wastage and monitor stock movement.
Machinery & Maintenance
- Oversee operation and maintenance of CNC machines, edge banders, panel saws, spray booths, compressors, and woodworking machinery.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules.
- Ensure machinery safety compliance.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with factory safety and HSE standards.
- Conduct regular toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Ensure proper PPE usage and safe working practices.
- Maintain factory cleanliness and housekeeping.
Coordination & Reporting
- Coordinate with design, estimation, procurement, and site execution teams.
- Attend production and project meetings.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
- Report operational issues, delays, and production status to management.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Civil Engineering, Interior Design, or related field.
- 8–15 years of experience in joinery and interior fit-out manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial role within a joinery factory.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of joinery production processes and fit-out materials.
- Expertise in production planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of woodworking machinery and CNC operations.
- Ability to read technical and shop drawings.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality standards and HSE regulations.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
Preferred Experience
- Experience handling luxury residential, hospitality, retail, or commercial fit-out projects.
- Experience managing large-scale joinery production facilities.
