PRODUCTION MANAGER CUM CHEMIST

Role summary

Production management

• Plan and supervise production to meet targets and delivery schedules; assign staff duties and monitor performance.
• Use raw materials, machinery, equipment and manpower effectively; control costs, reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Maintain production, batch manufacturing and inventory consumption records.
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, quality control and sales departments.

Formulation and product development

• Develop and improve formulations for detergents, disinfectants, sanitizers, surface cleaners, degreasers, dishwashing liquids and other cleaning products.
• Select raw materials, formulation ratios and mixing procedures; run laboratory trials, stability and compatibility testing, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot consistency, viscosity, pH, fragrance, colour and stability issues; identify cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
• Support new product development and improvements to existing products.

Quality, compliance and safety

• Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process batches and finished products; conduct or supervise laboratory testing, including pH, viscosity and specific gravity.
• Follow specifications, batch sheets, SOPs and quality standards; maintain batch records, test reports, COAs, TDS and SDS/MSDS as applicable.
• Ensure safe chemical handling, storage, labelling and workplace procedures, and support applicable UAE regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements.
• Train staff in manufacturing procedures and chemical safety; maintain cleanliness and housekeeping, investigate issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure production equipment is properly maintained and safely operated.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in detergents, disinfectants, household cleaning products or chemical manufacturing.
• Practical knowledge of chemical formulations, raw materials, mixing processes and laboratory testing.
• Experience managing production operations and supervising manufacturing staff.
• Knowledge of quality control, batch documentation and chemical safety; ability to troubleshoot independently.
• Good organizational, communication, leadership and problem-solving skills; proficiency in production records and technical documentation.
• UAE residence with relevant manufacturing experience is preferred.

Pay

• AED 4,500–6,000 per month.
