Role Description
The Production Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the end-to-end production of digital content for the Global Crisis Management Report.
This role coordinates schedules, workflows, and publishing timelines to ensure that news, features, and resources are produced accurately and on time.
The Production Manager will manage content pipelines, track assignments, and collaborate with writers, editors, designers, and technical staff to maintain consistent quality and adherence to page rules and editorial standards.
Daily responsibilities include reviewing content for completeness, formatting and metadata, managing production calendars, resolving bottlenecks, and communicating clearly with contributors.
The role also involves monitoring website updates, optimizing processes, and recommending improvements to support efficient, reliable content delivery.
Qualifications
- Strong content production and project management skills, including the ability to manage timelines, prioritize tasks, and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with digital publishing workflows, such as using content management systems, applying formatting standards, and ensuring accurate posting of articles and resources.
- Attention to detail in reviewing and organizing content, with the ability to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or issues that may affect quality or clarity.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with editors, writers, designers, and technical teams across time zones in a fully remote environment.
- Familiarity with crisis-related topics, global affairs, or nonprofit and mission-driven work is highly beneficial, along with an interest in responsible, ethical information-sharing.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt processes as needs change, with a commitment to meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
- Previous experience in production management, digital media, publishing, or a related field preferred; relevant education or equivalent practical experience will be considered.
