PRODUCTION FLOOR WORKING SUPERVISOR

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Plan daily production schedules and ensure orders are completed and dispatched on time.
• Supervise laser and press brake operators, helpers, and delivery drivers.
• Ensure accurate nesting, cutting, and bending in line with engineering drawings and specifications.
• Inspect finished parts for dimensional accuracy, burrs, scratches, heat marks, and bending defects.
• Manage stainless steel inventory, grades, thicknesses, finishes, remnants, and scrap.
• Protect surfaces during handling; oversee cleaning and packaging.
• Monitor machine performance, arrange routine maintenance, and report breakdowns or delays.
• Enforce safety, PPE, and housekeeping standards; maintain production and material records.
• Train and guide staff, and operate fiber laser or press brake machines when required.

Required qualifications and experience

• At least 5 years of sheet metal fabrication experience, including stainless steel.
• At least 2 years of workshop-floor production team supervision experience.
• Hands-on fiber laser experience covering nesting, cut quality, assist-gas settings, lens maintenance, and nozzle care.
• Practical knowledge of press brake bending and bend accuracy.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and work to specified tolerances.
• Knowledge of SS304 and SS316, including 2B, hairline, and mirror finishes.
• Experience using vernier calipers, angle gauges, and measuring tapes.
• Good spoken English is required. Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic is preferred.
• UAE workshop experience and immediate or short-notice availability are preferred.

Additional advantages

• CAD/CAM software or laser nesting program experience is an advantage.
• Experience setting up a new workshop or commissioning machinery is an advantage.
• Knowledge of stainless steel brushing, mirror polishing, and surface defect prevention is an advantage.
• Basic ERP, inventory, or production management system knowledge is an advantage.
• Previous welding and general fabrication experience is an advantage.

Workplace

• The role is on-site at a stainless steel fabrication workshop in Al Quoz or DIP, Dubai.
• Work location is in person.

Compensation and package

• Pay is AED 3,000–8,000 per month, with salary discussed based on experience.
• Visa, medical insurance, and accommodation or transport allowance are listed, subject to confirmation.
