QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • AND ABILITIES
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and collaboratively with others.
  • Dependable, adaptable, and comfortable working in a changing event environment.
  • SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • COMPENSATION
  • Hourly Rate: $21-23 per hour depending on experience.
  • Overtime: time and one half paid for weekly hours over 40
  • Sick leave paid in accordance with Washington state law
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Location: Tacoma City Theaters
  • Work is performed in office, theater, backstage, loading dock, and front-of-house environments.
  • Part-time, seasonal hours that vary based on event schedules and operational needs.
  • Flexible availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Regular interaction with staff, union personnel, touring representatives, vendors, and guests.
  • May require work across multiple theater locations.
  • PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, and climbing stairs.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods during rehearsals, performances, and events.
  • Ability to work safely in active backstage and production environments.

  • Familiarity with backstage operations and union labor environments is a plus.
