Production Engineer
About This Role
Core Responsibilities & Tasks
- Process Optimization: Develop and implement improvements to existing production processes, layouts, and manufacturing methods to maximize productivity.
- Production Planning: Create and oversee daily/weekly production schedules and documentation, such as standard operating procedures (SOPs) and assembly instructions.
- Quality & Safety Control: Implement quality control measures to reduce waste and defects, while ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Diagnose equipment failures and troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime, and maintain machinery for optimal efficiency.
- Resource Management: Manage production staff, assign tasks, and provide training on machine operations and safety best practices.
- Cost Control & Implementation: Identify cost-saving initiatives and coordinate with suppliers/vendors for materials and equipment.
- Technical Support: Assist with the design of fixtures and tooling and support new product introduction (NPI) into the manufacturing process.
Qualification
- Degree in engineering (Master's degree preferable).
- Related Experience in Aluminum & Steel Works
- Relevant license may be required.
- Experience with CAD software.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Proven experience in the engineering field.
- Superb analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Superb written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Great attention to detail and organizational skills.
