Production Assistant- Factory

Job Type:** Full-time

• Responsible for supporting all stages of food production, from ingredient preparation to packaging.
• This role ensures adherence to food safety, hygiene, and operational protocols across different food categories including bakery, meat, fish, poultry, and other kitchen items.
• The role requires reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist in preparing, assembling and packaging fresh food items (such as sandwiches, salads, ready meals, juices, etc.) as per daily production plans.
• Trim, cut, or portion raw materials such as Meat (Halal & Non-Halal), Poultry, Fish, Vegetables and Fresh Flowers according to specifications and maintain consistency.
• Handle ingredients (including dry, frozen, chilled) with understanding on production and expiration dates.
• Operate basic food processing equipment (e.g. slicers, sealers, weighing scales) safely and correctly.
• Follow all hygiene and food safety protocols, including wearing PPE and maintaining a clean workstation.
• Label and seal products accurately, ensuring maintaining record with correct date coding and batch tracking.
• Report any spoilage, damages, or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately.
• Flexibility to work in varied production areas (e.g., meat, bakery, cold room, packaging).

Required Qualification

• Physically fit
• Ability to communicate effectively in basic English (spoken and written).
• Adaptable and able to multitask in a high-demand setting.
• Basic understanding on following instructions, filling records or forms and math skills for measurements and portioning.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on cleanliness and safety.
• Ability to work in teams under time pressure.
• Willing to undergo a food safety and hygiene orientation upon onboarding
• Able to stand for long hours and perform repetitive manual tasks.
• Capable of lifting moderate loads (up to 15–20 kg).
• Comfortable working in both chilled, cold, wet and heated environments.
• Manual dexterity for handling ingredients, production equipment and packaging.

Work Environment

• Centralized food production facility with strict hygiene standards and exposure to hot and cold areas.
• Production floor environment involving proper sanitations, exposure to wet floors and varying temperatures (e.g., chilled or ambient areas).
• Fast-paced, team-driven environment with strict hygiene standards.
• Requires wearing of full Personal Protective Equipment (hairnets, gloves, aprons, safety shoes, etc.).
