Production Assembly Technician

Qualifications:

• Required:
• High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years of prior relevant experience, or Secondary/Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school with two years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to use hands in a skillful, coordinated way to grasp and manipulate objects and demonstrate small, precise movements.
• Ability to follow detailed work instructions or test procedures.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Desired:
• Familiarity or experience with schematic capture design tools preferred.
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and handle changing priorities.
• Willingness to learn new tasks/skills.
• Experience in process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen, preferred.
• Hand soldering in compliance with J-STD-0001 space addendum a plus.
• Three years of experience building and testing custom, complex high-precision electro-optical assemblies.
• Proficiency in fiber optic splicing processes and equipment, including arc fusion splicers, cleavers, and re-coaters.
• Experience using optical sources, power meters, and optical spectrum analyzers to test optical components.
• General understanding of how to follow detailed work instructions and record required information in Travelers for traceability.
• Experience working in a Cleanroom environment (ISO Class 7) with proper safety precautions.
