As part of this mission, their Mobile Applications Team is focused on delivering compelling mobile-first experiences that deepen donor relationships and drive meaningful social impact.
They are currently seeking a Product Specialist Mobile Applications to lead the strategy and execution of mobile initiatives that transform how donors connect, contribute, and stay engaged via iOS and Android platforms.
In this role, you will serve as the mobile product champion shaping the app experience from end to end.
You will blend strategic thinking with mobile UX best practices to improve app adoption, streamline the donation journey, and inspire continued engagement through smart, personalized interactions.
Mobile Product Strategy
- Define and execute a mobile-first strategy aligned with organizational goals
- Build and maintain product roadmaps for iOS and Android applications
- Identify and integrate mobile-native features (e.g., push notifications, geolocation, biometric login)
- Monitor trends in mobile philanthropy and emerging donor behaviors
User Experience Optimization
- Champion seamless, intuitive, and emotionally engaging donor journeys
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure accessibility and design excellence
- Define personalization strategies to create tailored impact experiences
- Continuously test and refine key user flows to boost engagement and conversion
Feature Definition & Prioritization
- Translate donor needs into product features with clear specifications and user stories
- Prioritize initiatives based on impact, technical feasibility, and strategic fit
- Balance innovation with app performance, reliability, and platform compliance
Push Notification Strategy
- Create a data-driven strategy for personalized push notifications
- Develop segmentation and timing tactics to maximize engagement
- Establish guidelines for tone, frequency, and content
- Implement and refine A/B testing for ongoing optimization
Impact Visualization & Storytelling
- Design features that communicate the impact of donations using mobile-native tools
- Work with creatives to integrate video, gamification, and interactivity into impact storytelling
- Create emotionally resonant experiences that reinforce donor loyalty
Analytics & Performance Monitoring
- Define KPIs for app performance, engagement, retention, and donations
- Leverage tools like Firebase or Mix panel to track and analyze user behavior
- Present actionable insights to influence roadmap and product iteration
- Create performance dashboards for internal reporting
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Interactive Media, or a related field
- 3+ years in mobile product management, ideally within a digital-first organization
- Familiarity with iOS and Android development cycles, app stores, and mobile UX best practices
- Demonstrated experience with mobile KPIs and in-app engagement analytics
- Excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Proven ability to advocate for users and shape products around their needs
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in nonprofit, charity, or donor engagement environments
- Familiarity with donation workflows and mobile payment processing
- Experience with personalization and push notification strategy
- Proficiency with mobile analytics platforms (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel)
- Understanding of mobile-specific research methodologies
- Knowledge of platform-specific design guidelines (Material Design, Human Interface Guidelines)
