Through market research and techno-economic analysis, we define product requirements for Engineering, develop specifications for Business Development, and guide product development, ensuring Antora builds the right product to advance its mission.

The Product Manager will perform market research, techno-economic analysis, and trade studies that inform these hypotheses, communicate the findings across the company, and own the process that verifies and validates them with engineering, business development, and analytics. Over time, the role grows into an embedded partner to engineering, business development, and analytics, helping Antora make the many trade-offs that shape Gen2 into a product that helps to solve climate change at a global scale.

Scope, structure and run analyses ranging from trade-off & techno-economic studies to codes & compliance development with engineering, deliver clear recommendations, and own the process of confirming each requirement is verified and validated through the design process

  • Support the development of Antora’s long-term product strategy, including grid modeling, power systems analytics, and industrials market research
  • Lead special projects engagements for the product. • Lead engagements with key external Antora stakeholders, including customers, financiers, regulators, electric utilities, project developers, independent engineers and codes & standards organizations, to gather market intelligence, inform product strategy, and write technical reviews & third-party reports
  • Enable our policy, marketing, legal, communications teams with the right information and collateral to effectively advocate for the product. This is a range of initiatives including: identifying where regulatory constructs constrain our product, designing marketing collateral that clearly communicates our value proposition, and developing memos and messaging for investors, regulator, and legislators that highlight our product and it’s strengths.
  • Understand our customers by collecting market intelligence. Build the information systems that disseminate the highest priority market insights across technical and commercial teams to help them better understand our customers’ needs and help drive product development in the right direction.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in engineering, physics, or other technical field related to Antora’s product
  • Experience performing quantitative techno economic or financial analysis and knows how to structure a trade study and reason about trade offs. Can build and defend a project-economics case (NPV, IRR, cost of capital as working fluency).
  • Collaborative across very different backgrounds. Communicates clearly and proactively up, down, and sideways.
  • Operates independently in ambiguity. Identifies problems and scopes resolution, finds the right people, drives to a solution, prioritizes work effectively, and knows when to escalate.
  • Curious, first principles thinker who wants to learn the technology, markets, and regulations deeply.
  • Knows how to turn ambiguous, multi-stakeholder discussions into plans
  • Questions requirements and constraints, has intuition (product sense) to question biggest constraints and drivers to constantly reassess/determine what is important for product success.
  • Has personally solved an ambiguous problem through building a defensible, narrative-led economic case and motivating stakeholders to act on it; demonstrated ability to solve hard, more ambiguous, and more complex problems than typically seen at their current level
