Product Manager, Payments & RCM

Role overview

What you will own

• Own strategy, discovery, prioritization, and delivery of payments and RCM workflows from problem identification through launch, measurement, and iteration.
• Improve patient payment requests, collection, recording, and reconciliation in digital and in-office experiences.
• Connect payment activity with practice-management systems, patient ledgers, claims and RCM data, and systems of record.
• Reduce manual work and fragmented workflows across practice, payment, and financial systems.
• Validate solutions with customers and internal teams; define requirements, success metrics, and acceptance criteria.
• Use customer research, analytics, payment and operational data, and financial metrics to prioritize and evaluate product performance.
• Partner with Engineering on reliability, scalability, platform improvements, and technical debt, and deliver integrations with external partners.
• Coordinate launches and adoption with Sales, Customer Success, Support, Marketing, Finance, Risk, and Operations.
• Assess product economics and help shape the long-term Payments and RCM roadmap.

What you will need

• At least four years of product management experience building and shipping software products.
• Meaningful product experience in healthcare payments or payment technology; Practice Management Software, EHR, or healthcare RCM; or financial reconciliation, patient ledgers, billing, or accounting workflows.
• Strong understanding of translating complex operational workflows into product requirements and user experiences.
• Experience partnering with Engineering and Design on technically complex products or integrations.
• Ability to understand APIs, data flows, system integrations, and dependencies for product decisions.
• Strong analytical skills using data to prioritize investments, establish KPIs, and measure results.
• Clear communication across technical and nontechnical audiences and experience with customer discovery.
• Ability to work through ambiguity and structure unclear problems.

Preferred experience

• Experience reconciling processor or payment-platform transactions with a PMS, EHR, ERP, accounting system, or other system of record is preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare payments, patient financial workflows, payment lifecycle, or healthcare revenue cycle is preferred.
• Experience with healthcare practices or companies in PMS/EHR, RCM technology, payment processing, PayFac, or vertically integrated SaaS is preferred.
