Role overview

Manage the High-Tech product portfolio for tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers in the region.

The position connects market needs, customer insights, and product strategy to support market share and gross margin.

Work location

  • Remote home office in Ontario, Canada; Leamington or Kingsville area preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Optimize variety positioning using regional sales and forecasts and align the product assortment with Sales and Portfolio Management.
  • Develop market and crop-segment plans and translate them into tactical and operational plans.
  • Provide insights to Breeding and Product Development to shape product concepts and the future portfolio.
  • Support customer plans with technical expertise and relationships with customers and industry stakeholders.
  • Lead variety advancement proposals and coordinate seed allocation for new and existing varieties.
  • Align product and customer strategies with Sales, Portfolio Management, Product Development, and Marketing.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent higher professional education in Agriculture, Horticulture, Plant Science, Business, or a related field.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in agriculture, horticulture, product management, product development, or a related field.
  • Strong agricultural knowledge and understanding of agricultural markets and customers.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, relationship-building ability, and capacity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
