About SiftMed

SiftMed builds AI software used by insurance carriers, independent medical examiners, and legal teams to review medical records in claims.

Its platform finds and cites facts across large record sets, including pre-existing conditions, treatment gaps, and causation evidence.

The company states that security and privacy shape product decisions because it handles sensitive data.

The Role

The Product Manager reports to the VP of Product Management and leads projects across changing parts of the platform rather than owning a fixed product area.

The forward-deployed role works directly with priority customer accounts, configuring the platform, onboarding and training teams, and feeding customer learning into product decisions.

Expected time split is approximately 40% on accounts and 60% on product work.

Projects are owned from initial customer conversations through launch and iteration, often amid ambiguity and competing requests.

Who You Are

  • Takes initiative to identify what should happen next and investigates unknowns through customers, support tickets, data, and engineering colleagues.
  • Makes decisions with incomplete information and adjusts when new evidence changes the picture.
  • Can work across the product, learn unfamiliar systems, and focus on shipped work and customer adoption.
  • Enjoys customer-facing work, including training claims reviewers and discussing technical trade-offs with engineers.
  • Willing to take on practical tasks such as support calls, release testing, and writing help documentation.
  • The role may not suit someone seeking a handed-down roadmap, strategy without execution, or work without direct customer contact and travel.

What You’ll Do

  • Own priority account relationships, onboarding, training, and ongoing customer product use.
  • Configure document types, templates, and review workflows for customer accounts.
  • Run onsite and virtual customer onboarding and training.
  • Lead projects across product areas from scoping through launch and decide what gets built or cut.
  • Help set the roadmap with other product managers and leadership.
  • Translate customer learning into requirements and success metrics and work with engineering and AI/ML through launch.
  • Define acceptable AI output with the ML team, including evaluation criteria, accuracy thresholds, and user-facing error handling.
  • Balance customer requests, sales commitments, technical debt, privacy, and security requirements, and explain trade-offs.
