Product Manager - Ai-Native Platform Owner

Reports directly to the CTO - Small, growing team - Full-stack product ownership

About The Role

  • We are building a portfolio of in-house platforms and digital ventures - operational systems that run our core business, internal tools that make our teams more effective, and new commercial opportunities we are developing from scratch.
  • This is not a traditional product role focused on writing requirements and managing developers.
  • We are a small, growing team and we use modern AI tools as our engineering capability.
  • We are looking for someone who can think in outcomes, move fast, and turn operational problems into working solutions, often without a conventional engineering team behind them.
  • You will report directly into the CTO and have genuine ownership across the products and platforms you are responsible for.
  • That means visibility at the top of the organisation, the ability to influence direction, and real accountability for what you ship.
  • What you’ll own
  • You will take end-to-end ownership of one or more of the following:
  • In-house operational platforms:
  • · Core business infrastructure - scheduling, operations, workflow, reporting that the team relies on daily.
  • You own the health, improvement, and roadmap of these systems.
  • Internal tools:
  • · Internal productivity and automation tools
  • · Tools built to eliminate manual work, reduce errors, and make the team faster.
  • · You identify the opportunity, prototype the solution, and own the outcome.
  • New ventures: Venture-stage digital products
  • · Commercial opportunities we are developing from the ground up.
  • You will shape the product, validate with real users, and drive it toward a meaningful outcome.
  • What you’ll do
  • · Own platforms end-to-end.
  • From understanding the business problem to shipping and iterating on the solution
  • · Map user journeys and operational workflows, and find where they break down
  • · Identify bugs, inefficiencies, UX issues, and commercial opportunities across your platform
  • · Use AI coding tools to prototype, automate, test, release and iterate
  • · Build dashboards, internal tools, automations, and integrations where they create operational value
  • · Work closely with operations, leadership, support, and commercial teams to understand real problems
  • · Prioritise based on business impact, operational value, and commercial outcomes, not just volume of requests
  • · Help the wider team adopt AI-enabled ways of working
  • What we’re looking for
  • · Strong product, operations, or business systems experience with a track record of owning outcomes, not just managing backlogs
  • · Commercially focused and outcome-driven - you measure your work in business impact, not features shipped
  • · Hands-on with AI tools.
  • You have actually built things using tools like Cursor, Claude, Codex or Replit, not just prompted them for writing help
  • · Strong problem-solving instinct - you diagnose before you prescribe, and you are comfortable working in ambiguity
  • · Able to operate independently - you do not need a fully staffed team around you to make progress
  • · Comfortable across technical and non-technical conversations - you can hold your own with an engineer and with an ops manager in the same day
  • · Curious and highly operational in mindset - you care about how things actually work, not just how they should work in theory
  • The practical test for this role
  • This role requires someone who can use AI tools as a genuine engineering capability.
  • We will include a practical task in the interview process where you will be given real operational problems and access to an AI coding tool.
  • We are not testing whether you can write perfect code - we are testing whether you can build something that works, make pragmatic decisions under pressure, and clearly articulate what you built, how it works, and what its limitations are.
  • If you have never used AI tools to build something real, this is not the right role for you yet.
  • If you have, and you are looking for an environment where that capability is genuinely valued and stretched, we would like to hear from you.
  • Bonus experience
  • The following is genuinely helpful but not required if the core fit is strong:
  • Experience with AI coding tools: Cursor, Claude, Replit, Copilot, ChatGPT
  • Workflow automation: Zapier, Make, n8n, or custom scripting
  • Product analytics and experimentation
  • APIs, webhooks, and integrations
  • SQL or light scripting (Python, JavaScript)
  • Browser automation or testing tools
  • ERP, scheduling, or operational platforms
  • What makes this different
  • Most product roles sit at a distance from execution.
  • This one does not.
  • You will have a direct line to the C-level executives, real ownership of products that matter to the business, and the freedom to use modern tools to move at a speed that traditional product teams cannot match.
  • We are a small team, which means your work is visible, your decisions matter, and the things you build are used by real people from day one.
  • If you want ownership without layers, and you have the skills to back it up, this is the role.
