Product Design Intern

Role and mission

Location and duration

• The role is listed in Dubai, UAE.
• The internship lasts 3–6 months and is full-time; internships shorter than three months are unpaid.
• The role requires independent work across time zones and asynchronous communication.

Role responsibilities

• Audit user flows and review support tickets and session data to prioritize friction.
• Redesign within an existing design system and live codebase.
• Prototype in Figma, conduct usability checks, and iterate before engineering begins.
• Prepare implementation specifications and review builds before release.
• Maintain design-system components, document patterns, and flag inconsistencies.
• Set measures of success and review results after release.

Candidate requirements

• Have completed at least one design internship at a SaaS or mobile app company and shipped something to real users.
• Provide a portfolio showing the problem, constraints, trade-offs, before-and-after work, and lessons learned.
• Be comfortable with Figma auto-layout, components, variables, and prototyping.
• Commit full-time for at least three months; part-time or alongside-college availability is not suitable.
• Work independently across time zones and communicate asynchronously.

Preferred experience

• Experience with AI-assisted design tools or prior work on B2B, fintech, or dashboard-heavy products is a bonus.

Stipend

• The stated stipend is AED 2,000 per month.
