Role Overview
The employer is seeking a passionate and hands-on Product Design Engineer.
The role owns the end-to-end product development cycle from concept ideation to final manufacturable design.
The position requires understanding of design principles, mechanical systems, 3D modeling, and simulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead product design and development from concept to production.
- Work on ideation, concept generation, and 3D modeling using SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
- Perform motion studies, kinematic and structural analysis, and simulation-based validation.
- Handle detailed design of components, assemblies, weldments, and sheet metal structures.
- Apply DFM and DFA principles for practical and cost-effective production.
- Collaborate with fabrication, testing, and sourcing teams to refine designs.
- Drive continuous improvement in design performance, weight, cost, and durability.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in SolidWorks for parts, assemblies, weldments, and sheet metal.
- Experience in kinematics, motion analysis, and mechanical simulation tools.
- Understanding of DFM principles and fabrication processes for welded and sheet metal parts.
- Ability to own the product development lifecycle from concept through manufacturing.
- Creative problem-solving and attention to detail in design optimization.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical, Automotive, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience with mobility products, vehicles, or mechanical systems with moving linkages.
- Exposure to prototype development, testing, and iteration cycles.
- Willingness to learn and adapt quickly to new tools and technologies.
Employment and Compensation
- The job is full-time and permanent.
- Pay is ₹18,000 to ₹250,000 per month.
