Job description
- Create and manage the database of vehicle model specifications
- Collect and update information on competitor models and market trends
- Conduct VI/VA (Value Innovation / Value Analysis) studies on all models and update on a regular basis
- Assist in determining price positioning for current product range and deciding on future product positioning strategy
- Create model codes and product specifications in the system; support order planning
- Generate reports related to product and vehicle order planning as required; proactively assist in effective product planning and inventory management
- Prepare presentations for negotiating product specifications and pricing with Principals
- Report competitor product and pricing information as required by Management and Principals
- Generate presentations on new models and provide all product-related support material to the Sales team
- Generate Grade walk / Product specification sheets for the sales team
- Conduct pricing studies on new models to be introduced to the market
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
- 2–5 years of experience in product coordination, product planning, or a similar role (automotive industry preferred)
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales, management, and external principals
