Team and role overview

The Advanced Analytics team supports Global Fraud Solutions and Communications Solutions by turning large-scale data, market intelligence, and emerging fraud trends into product and revenue opportunities.

The team collaborates with Product, Sales, Data Science, Engineering, Operations, and Client Success.

This is a hybrid position requiring at least two days per week in person at an assigned TransUnion office, with virtual work also part of the role.

Core responsibilities

  • Use analytics and market insights to influence product strategy, innovation, and go-to-market decisions.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify customer needs, emerging fraud trends, product opportunities, and revenue-growth potential.
  • Evaluate market opportunities based on customer demand, market potential, available data, and strategic alignment.
  • Research evolving fraud vectors, attack methods, and market needs to identify new or enhanced prevention capabilities.
  • Develop analytical frameworks, proofs of concept, and recommendations to validate use cases and support investment decisions.
  • Support design and testing of next-generation fraud solutions, including pilots for phone scam detection and prevention.
  • Translate complex findings into business recommendations for cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Develop analytical approaches and tools that improve opportunity identification, solution demonstrations, and customer conversations.
  • Independently move ambiguous business questions from research through recommendation and execution; present findings to technical and non-technical audiences.

Required qualifications

  • At least eight years of experience in analytics, product analytics, fraud analytics, consulting, data science, strategy, or a related field.
  • Experience translating complex information into actionable recommendations and analyzing large, complex datasets for product or commercial decisions.
  • Able to independently structure ambiguous problems, develop an analytical approach, and advance work with limited direction.
  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing technical, product, commercial, and operational stakeholders.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for communicating complex findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Advanced SQL and Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience using large-scale data platforms and analytical tools to build repeatable analyses, frameworks, or proofs of concept.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Preferred qualifications

  • Google BigQuery or a comparable cloud-based data and analytics platform experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of fraud prevention, risk analytics, identity solutions, telecommunications, or SaaS is preferred.
  • Experience researching fraud threats or supporting product innovation, pilots, go-to-market planning, sales enablement, or revenue growth is preferred.

Compensation

  • The listed salary range is $100,100–$150,000 per year.
