About the role

Join an Agile squad to deliver business applications and take end-to-end technical ownership of external PowerApps portals and core business systems.

Serve as the Power Pages specialist and technical lead for critical UCAS and Admissions systems.

Work with vendors, databases, and end users to diagnose root causes, improve architecture, and shape the platform's long-term direction.

What you would be doing

  • Design, develop, and maintain external Power Pages portals using Liquid, FetchXML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Web APIs.
  • Configure and support model-driven apps, canvas apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse.
  • Manage source control, pull requests, and deployment pipelines across development and production environments with Azure DevOps and GitHub.
  • Lead UCAS data exchanges, upgrades, and operational reporting.
  • Integrate UCAS and Banner via Data Connect with core student record systems and Dataverse; write and optimize SQL queries.
  • Coordinate with UCAS, Ellucian, and other vendors on technical issues and enhancements.
  • Diagnose complex defects and architectural issues to prevent data discrepancies and protect user journeys.
  • Represent delivery in sprint reviews and technical forums alongside product owners, tech leads, and senior stakeholders.
  • Help create, maintain, and automate CI/CD pipelines.

What we are looking for

  • Degree in computer technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience.
  • Proven Power Platform development experience, specializing in Power Pages and external portal delivery.
  • Strong practical skills in Liquid, FetchXML, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Dataverse, and SQL data flows or system integrations.
  • UCAS and Banner integration experience is desirable.
  • Hands-on Azure DevOps experience with source control, pull requests, and multi-tier deployment pipelines.
  • Excellent communication and analytical abilities, technical problem diagnosis, vendor engagement, stakeholder engagement, and solution ownership.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary range is £48,246–£58,318 per annum.
  • Benefits include 43 days of annual leave, pension schemes, flexible working policy, family leave, on-site leisure facilities, cycle-to-work scheme, and interest-free season ticket loans.

Work pattern and location

  • The role is listed as hybrid at White City Campus.
  • This is a full-time post of 35 hours per week.
