Procurement Specialist

Overview

• Responsible for managing the procurement of technical equipment, materials, and services essential to oilfield operations.
• The Senior Buyer will source high-quality/complexity products, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with industry standards to effectively support engineering and operational teams.
• This role oversees the entire procurement process, ensuring the timely acquisition of goods and services at competitive prices.
• JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to optimize procurement costs and ensure timely supply.
• Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and service standards.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to secure the best possible deals.
• Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure high-quality and consistent supply.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and project management teams to understand technical specifications and project requirements.
• Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost-effective procurement while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Monitor supplier performance, conduct supplier audits, and maintain strong supplier relationships to mitigate risks and ensure supply continuity.
• Prepare and present procurement reports, cost analysis, and recommendations to management.
• Support, adhere and promote the QHSE policy of the company, along with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• OPERATING ENVIRONMENT

• Work is primarily office based with frequent interaction with internal teams including engineering, operations, project management, and finance.
• Regular communication and negotiation with external suppliers and contractors.
